Article Icon 1Changing U.S. Attorney for Eastern District of Virginia

President Donald Trump named Lindsey Halligan as the next United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

On the same day, Culpeper County prosecutor Mary “Maggie” Cleary reportedly sent an email to court staff saying she had been “unexpectedly” named to the post on an acting basis. She may have been tapped by Attorney General Pam Bondi to serve until a permanent nominee is approved by the Senate.

Trump’s first pick for the job, which handles many high-profile national security cases, was either fired or resigned after eight months in the position. Erik Siebert sent an email to colleagues on Friday saying he was stepping aside.

Trump later posted on social media that Siebert “lied to the media and said he quit… No, I fired him.”

In that post, which may have been intended as a direct message and was quickly deleted, the president demanded Bondi bring criminal charges against “Comey, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, Leticia,” who he wrote are “all guilty as hell.”

Article Icon 1Anti-Sextortion Bill Signed

Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed a bill last week that aims to increase protections against sexual extortion in the Commonwealth, with special attention to living arrangements. Republican Delegate Wendell Walker sponsored the measure.

The new law makes it a Class 5 felony to maliciously threaten to evict a victim or otherwise coerce them into a sexual act.

No one should ever have to choose between a roof over their head and their dignity,” Walker said.

The law provides heavier penalties if the victim is younger than 15, with heavy fines and potential sentences of up to 20 years.

The Washington Commanders, playing without injured quarterback Jayden Daniels, blew past the Las Vegas Raiders 41-24 yesterday.

Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota got the start at home and went 15 for 21 through the air for 207 yards and a touchdown. At the end of one play, he accidentally ran into Coach Dan Quinn, leaving the bench boss bloodied but able to remain on the sideline.

The game was sloppy at times, with an early turnover costing Washington a scoring opportunity. The team received seven penalties. Special teams pitched in, as the Commanders opened the game with a long kickoff return and later scored on a punt return.

The Commanders are off to a 2-1 start and visit Atlanta next week.

A groundbreaking discovery is transforming how we understand memory and brain health.

Scientists at the prestigious Weinberg College of Chicago recently built the world’s most advanced atomic microscope, powerful enough to look deep inside a living, active brain. What they saw left them stunned: the true location of memory cells, and how these cells shape our daily habits, decisions, and even personality.

Even more exciting, their research revealed a simple way to restore lost memory and sharpen mental clarity—without expensive treatments or risky medications. A revolutionary mental training program now makes it possible to reverse even severe memory loss using just a few easy, 3-minute techniques.

Because it relies on natural brain retraining—not drugs or supplements—powerful corporations are already trying to keep this discovery from the public.

The opportunity to reclaim your memory may not be available for long.
