Article Icon 1Building Delays Disrupt William & Mary

Around 900 William & Mary students will begin the school year in alternate housing because of delays in building three of five dormitories that were supposed to be ready this month.

The school announced that freshmen will live on campus in the buildings formerly known as the Green & Gold Village and Richmond Hall, while other students will live off campus in hotel space. Bus service will be available to take students back and forth.

The builder expects to finish the three buildings, Cedar Hall, Pine Hall, and Oak Hall, by October, when the students will be moved out of temporary housing and into those dorms.

While disappointed these buildings are delayed, we look forward to welcoming students in these wonderful new living spaces soon,” college administrator Mike Todd said.

Visitors to the Commonwealth spent $35.1 billion last year, a new record and a 5.4% increase year-over-year.

Total overnight visitation reached 44.7 million people last year, up more than a million people from 2023’s total.

Tourists spent $96 million per day in Virginia, leading directly to $2.5 billion in state and local tax revenue.

This unprecedented level of economic activity not only supports hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs and strengthens local businesses,” Gov. Glenn Youngkin said, “but it also generates crucial state and local tax revenues that help ease the tax burden for Virginia families.”

Article Icon 1Two Dead in Home Invasion

Two people were killed and one was injured during an apparent home invasion in Rockingham County.

Sheriff’s deputies responding to an emergency call found wounded homeowner Michael Hatcher, 65, and deceased 41-year-old Kevin Moses Walker of Maryland outside the home. Inside, 62-year-old resident Holly Hatcher was also dead.

Authorities believe Walker entered the home with a knife and attacked the couple. They said Michael Hatcher was able to get outside, retrieve a gun from his car, and shoot the intruder.

The investigation is ongoing.

Scientists at University College Cork have validated a surprising 10-second method that’s transforming how women fight signs of aging—without creams or invasive treatments.

In a study involving 674 women with deep wrinkles, sagging skin, and dark spots, researchers found that using this simple technique in front of the mirror each day led to dramatic improvements in appearance within just a few weeks.

What’s more shocking? This unusual method has been shown to be up to 10 times more effective than retinol—without any of the harsh side effects like redness, irritation, or dryness.

It’s fast, painless, and surprisingly easy to do at home. Thousands of women are already using it to look 10, 15, or even 20 years younger—and the results speak for themselves.

Watch the short video below to discover exactly how this method works—and why so many scientists and skincare experts are calling it the future of anti-aging.
