Question: What unusual prize do race winners at Martinsville Speedway receive?

Answer: Race winners at Martinsville Speedway receive a grandfather clock as their trophy, an unusual prize introduced in 1964 when track founder H. Clay Earles partnered with the nearby Ridgeway Clock Company. The first was awarded to Fred Lorenzen, with Richard Petty holding the record of 12 clocks.
