The Navy released reports that blamed leadership failures, a lack of training, and equipment malfunctions for a series of mishaps suffered by the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman during its most recent deployment.

Between last December and this May, the ship collided with a merchant tanker in the Mediterranean, lost one F/A-18F Super Hornet to friendly fire from USS Gettysburg, and lost two more F/A-18E Super Hornets overboard.

No casualties were reported in any of the events, but none of the jets were recovered from the sea.

The Navy removed Capt. Dave Snowden from command after the Feb. 12 collision, which the report described as avoidable. The ship is scheduled for refueling and overhaul in Newport News.

Gold has been stealing the headlines all year… but the quiet story almost no one is talking about is silver.

The price of silver quietly doubled in 2025—and the reason has nothing to do with Wall Street hype.

Silver isn’t just a precious metal. It’s an industrial necessity. Solar panels, EVs, medical tech, electronics—they all consume silver, and once it’s used, it’s gone for good.

Supply is falling short, demand keeps climbing, and analysts now believe silver’s supply crunch could create another massive silver boom in 2026.

Anchor Point Research just released The Silver Report, a free special report that breaks this all down in plain English:

  • Why do many experts call silver the most undervalued metal today

  • Why analysts see silver with far greater upside than gold

  • How industrial demand is creating a structural shortage

  • How to get started investing in silver
