Article Icon 1Six Bystanders Shot at Virginia Beach

Six people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds on Saturday night after two suspects opened fire at each other at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The victims—all in their teens or 20s—suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Both of the shooters remained at large yesterday. Police had increased patrols due to the pleasant weekend weather, but Chief Paul Neudigate indicated that alone is not enough to prevent violence.

We are not a deterrence for an individual that is going to pull a gun out or two individuals that are going to pull a gun out and shoot at each other while there are 1,000 other people on the sidewalks,” Neudigate said.

The city recently approved a 10 p.m. curfew for minors. It takes effect on March 19.

Article Icon 1Virginia to Rejoin Greenhouse Initiative

Lawmakers directed the state Department of Environmental Quality to sign a new service agreement with the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative by May 21. RGGI is a market-based carbon trading program involving 10 states that aims to limit the amount of greenhouse gases power plants may emit.

The Commonwealth began participating in the agreement in 2021, but former Gov. Glenn Youngkin withdrew, ending the state’s participation in 2023.

In an address to lawmakers just after her inauguration, Gov. Abigail Spanberger expressed support for the program. “RGGI generated hundreds of millions of dollars for Virginia, dollars that went directly to flood mitigation, energy efficiency programs, and lowering bills for families who need help most,” she said.

Republicans disagree. “RGGI is a tax on energy,” GOP State Senator Luther Cifers said. “You end up creating an even more expensive, even more overbearing government,”

Article Icon 1Prosecutors Prepare for Resendiz Murder Case

A military judge ruled that Navy prosecutors may use cellphone evidence obtained from sailor Jermiah Copeland in his trial for the murder of Petty Officer Angelina Resendiz.

The judge did not rule on other issues, including an alleged “unreasonable multiplication of charges” against Copeland and the presentation of expert testimony.

Records show Copeland was investigated for sexual abuse while he was in high school in Washington state.

The Navy contends that Copeland killed Resendiz on May 29 of last year. Her body was found almost two weeks later, off-base in Norfolk. The trial is expected to begin in June.

The AI Investment Hiding Under the Chip Boom

While headlines focus on chips and data centers, a quieter AI race is unfolding and early investors are already moving in. Big brands aren’t asking who has the flashiest AI model. They’re asking who can turn AI into cleaner decisions and better numbers quarter after quarter. RAD Intel has been building for that second wave from the start.

While most investors chased the obvious names, RAD Intel quietly stacked 5,000%+ valuation growth in 4 years, delivered 2× sales contract growth in 2025, and has multiple recurring 7-figure enterprise contracts under its belt. The platform sits beneath major enterprise marketing budgets across industries like gaming, entertainment, and fashion, helping companies see where the next dollar is most likely to perform before it’s spent.

15,000 investors have already stepped in and $60M+ has been raised while the company is still private, with a reserved Nasdaq ticker $RADI. Shares are $0.85 for now, with a scheduled share price change on March 12 at 11:59 pm P.T.

Lock-in $0.85 Shares Before March 12.
