Article Icon 1Wet Weekend Brings Storms and Flooding

Powerful storms swept across Virginia over the weekend, bringing flash floods to many locations. On Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a Level 3 out of 4 flash flood alert for Central Virginia, including Richmond and Charlottesville.

Storms also drenched Southwest Virginia, inundating sections of Dickenson and Russell Counties.

First responders from Lynchburg went to Tazewell County to help with search and rescue efforts, while crews from Roanoke’s Swift Water Rescue Team were deployed to Abingdon.

As of yesterday morning, hundreds of homes and businesses were still without power in Central Virginia.

Brad Spafford, a 36-year-old Isle of Wight resident, pleaded guilty to charges of possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle and possession of an unregistered destructive device. He could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison on each charge.

Spafford was arrested after federal authorities investigated a tip that he was shooting at a photo of then-President Joe Biden and that “he believed political assassinations should be brought back.”

During a raid last fall, officers seized around 150 pipe bombs and other explosive devices, reportedly the largest number of finished explosives the FBI has ever brought in.

Court documents state thatno specific plans to implement violence or to distribute the subject devices were discovered.”

Article Icon 1Youngkin Speaks in Iowa

Gov. Glenn Youngkin spoke at the Iowa GOP Lincoln Dinner last week, saying he supports keeping the Iowa presidential caucuses first in the nation. “The beginning of the nomination process starts with incredibly informed voters,” Youngkin said.

The outgoing governor touted his leadership in Virginia over the last four years, particularly his work on education and parental rights.

Youngkin is planning another visit to an early primary state next month. He will headline the Silver Elephant Gala in South Carolina.

Despite the political visits, Youngkin has not committed to running for president in 2028.

Trump’s Reset Can Give Birth To America’s Greatest Era Yet

In 1933, Executive Order 6102 forced everyday Americans to hand over their gold at a fixed rate.

Citizens lost a sizable amount of their hard-earned wealth at the stroke of FDR’s pen.

Now, 92 years later, President Trump has focused his energy on making things right.

His next move has the power to trigger a financial reset that could shift trillions of dollars into the hands of the people.

A provision buried in the U.S. Code Title 31, Section 5117 allows the U.S. Treasury to revalue America’s gold reserves from an outdated $42 per ounce to today’s market price.

That’s a 72x increase!
