Article Icon 1Virginia’s State of Immigration Enforcement

Thirteen sheriff’s offices across Virginia have signed on with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s 287(g) program, allowing their deputies to identify and arrest illegal immigrants, including serving warrants on suspects in local jails.

At least 21 local agreements with ICE are either active or in progress across the Commonwealth.

The partnerships have led to some pushback. Members of the 50501 Virginia Movement organized a rally on Monday in Chesterfield County to protest against ICE’s tactics.

In March, the latest month for which statistics are available, more than 2,000 illegal immigrants in Virginia received removal orders, placing Virginia in the top five nationally. Gov. Glenn Youngkin has said, “Virginia is not a sanctuary state, and I’ve made that really clear.

Article Icon 1UVA Hires Duke Baseball Coach

The University of Virginia hired Chris Pollard to coach its baseball team, just hours after his Duke Blue Devils were upset and eliminated in the Super Regional round of the NCAA championship.

Pollard is Duke’s all-time wins leader, with a record of 420-296 in 13 seasons in Durham. He’s coached the team to back-to-back 40-win seasons in 2024 and 2025.

UVA’s new coach grew up in Amherst County and went to high school in Lynchburg. He takes over for Brian O’Connor, who resigned last month to coach Mississippi State in the SEC.

The move marks a rare instance of a head coach jumping from one ACC program to lead another.

Article Icon 1 Search for Sailor Ends in Tragedy

The family of Angelina Resendiz confirmed that a dead body found in Norfolk was that of the missing 21-year-old sailor.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service said another Navy sailor is in “pretrial confinement” in connection with the death and that charges against that person are pending.

Resendiz had been missing from Naval Station Norfolk since May 29.

Her family is calling for an investigation into the circumstances of her disappearance and into whether authorities were slow to notify them and initiate a search.

The Treasury Fired a Warning Shot

If you’re retired or plan to retire, circle August 1st on your calendar with a fat red marker.

That’s when the trouble begins. As soon as August 1st, 2025, we may watch the destruction of retired America:

  • Delayed Social Security checks
  • Pension checks frozen or reduced
  • Diversified retirement accounts dropping 50%

This is serious, and you WILL be affected, one way or another.

This isn’t about the president.

This is about economic sabotage.

That’s why thousands of Americans like you are fighting for everything they worked for. But they’re not doing it alone. Many of them are applying for an IRS-sanctioned provision to help protect and preserve their retirement from a fiscal crisis like this.

This provision was greenlit decades ago, used as a “what if” protection plan by Americans with $50-100k or more in savings. And it served them well, through the Financial Crises of 2000, 2008, and 2020. But it’s not a matter of “what if” anymore — it’s a matter of WHEN. And right now, you can get a no-cost guide that walks you through exactly how this helps protect your savings. If you’re looking for a sign, then this is it. Don’t wait. Click below.
